The two groups approached.

Angel stepped forward. “Who would be the moody, yet noble leader?”

“That would be me.”

“And who is the beloved, yet tragically killed off sidekick?” Wash asked.

“That’d be Doyle. For obvious reasons, he is no longer with us.”

“Yeah, why are you?” Kaylee asked.

Wash shrugged.

“And who’s the crazy genius?”

Wesley whispered, “I think it’s that girl clinging to her brother.” He raised his voice, “And who’s the misunderstood betrayer, who loses his beloved?”

All eyes fell on Jayne.

“Don’t look at me. I ain’t done nothin’.”

“Oh, but you will Jayne, you will.”

I know I've pushed this comm before, but I'm doing it again. Why? Because whedonland is seriously one of my favorite things ever! It's the most fun I've had online in years.

What is it? Every three months four teams (Firefly, Buffy, Angel and Dollhouse) compete against one another to earn points to beat the APOCALYPSE. They play games, make graphics, write stories and do much much more to earn points. The team with the most points at the end of the three months wins! So yeah, participation is important!

Now is a great time to join. The first apocalypse is about to end and a new one is about to start! Everyone is getting a fresh start!

It's a great way to get to know people online. Team bonding is always wonderful!! Also, I find it allows me to touch on art forms I haven't done before (ex: graphics and fanvids) and is great for inspiring me in the art forms I already do (writing). Lasly, the mods seriously put their hearts and souls into this comm to make it enjoyable for everyone. As the Captain of Team Firefly I can promise you that. :D

My thought on the rewatching (again) of the first two eps... Um... mostly Casey focused. Go figure! LOL. Anyway, I've rewatched season 1 a bunch of times now and I have to say I love it more each time.

Ep 1

-I always loved that Bryce scene in the beginning. I love the coloring (whole ep actually), the way it as shot and I enjoy Bryce in it. Also, I really like the Casey shooting him scene. Is it odd I find Casey hotter then usual in that moment? Maybe a little.

-I LOVE the Casey and Sarah hate and rivalry. It's my favorite thing about these early eps. I actually enjoy that more then the mush fest that happens in late season two. I find them fighting and going at it over who controls Chuck far more interesting then any other plot these two had together.

And I know they liking did it do to the romance they would be forming, but I find it interesting that Chuck distrusts Sarah far more then he distrusts Casey. I suppose it doesn't help that Chuck is flashing on her every 5 seconds.

-I've said it once, I'll say it again: WHY does Sarah refer to Casey as a burnout! I want to know!

-One thing about Casey in these early eps... he is portrayed as a 'typical' government official. It's just he is a spy and has a bit more life to him then those around him. I'd like to think that being on team Chuck is what changed this and not the writers just writing him differently, later on.

-Chuck on the dance floor... he is so out of his league, but in a adorable way. Sarah is a bit kickass in this scene though.

-I miss Chuck's curls! Bring them back! At least sometimes.

-I totally love that scene when Chuck's cellphone goes off as they are defusing the bomb and Casey and Sarah look at one another and then just jump back to the bomb with a 'to hell with this guy' attitude!

-So Casey knows his porn stars. ;)

-That last shot of Chuck seeing Casey in the Buymore for the first time? CLASSIC.

Ep 2

-What we learn from ep 2: Casey knows something about wine and cooking.

-And it's all about the Casey and Sarah hate... as I said, I love that.

Not much more to say on that one!


I had three plot bunnies emerge from watching these two eps... If that keeps up I'm in more trouble then I already am!
